Akita Yatose Dance Festival No.1/ 秋田ヤートセ祭 その１

Yatose festival was held 27-28 June 2009 in Akita.

This festival is a new event on 12th and it becomes bigger and more popular from Children to elderly  people, both men and women. 63 dance teams, approx 1,700 people joined.

I am very impressed their original costumes. Each team has different costume which is Japanese traditional Kimono based. They are unique and gorgeous ! Also their hair style is also decorated very cutely with flower or many accessory! 

Yatose is also called Yosakoi in other area. This is based Japanese traditional folk song and arranged into rock style. So people make their original song and dance by themselves.

This move is one of the team from Yamagata prefecture next to Akita. Enjoy!

この週末に秋田で行われたヤートセ祭りの模様をご覧ください。今年で１２回を迎え、ますます盛大になって秋田の街に活気を与えてくれました。今回は県内外６３チーム、１７００人の人が参加してくれました。チームそれぞれの衣装がユニークですばらしかったです。歌舞伎のようにどんどん違う衣装に早変わりで見応えがありました。踊りも優雅でステキでした！
